The root of digital trust.
Every signature, verified identity, and secure transaction needs a trust anchor. Julica is that anchor — a certificate authority that issues, validates, and revokes the digital certificates the whole ecosystem relies on.
Hardware-backed root keys, standards-based X.509 certificates, and real-time status — the quiet infrastructure that makes digital trust possible.
The full certificate lifecycle
in one trust authority.
Issue
Provision standards-based X.509 certificates for people, devices, and documents — from a single API call or through the management console.
Verify
Validate authenticity in real time. OCSP and CRL endpoints confirm a certificate is genuine, trusted, and still valid before anyone relies on it.
Revoke
Compromised or expired? Revoke instantly and the change propagates across the chain — so a bad certificate stops being trusted the moment it should.
From request to revocation
trust, managed end to end.
Submit a certificate request
A subject — a person, service, or document — submits a certificate signing request (CSR). Julica validates the request against its issuance policy.
- Standards-based CSR
- Policy-driven validation
- People, devices & documents

ⓘIllustrative targets — Julica is in active research & development.
Julica is a certificate authority (CA) and public key infrastructure (PKI). It issues, verifies, and revokes the digital certificates that prove an identity, device, or document is genuine — the trust anchor beneath the rest of the ecosystem.
Julica is the shared trust layer. When GoPaperless seals a signed document or Mimi issues a verified identity credential, a Julica certificate is what makes that proof cryptographically verifiable and tamper-evident.
Julica is built around standards-based X.509 v3 certificates with real-time status via OCSP and certificate revocation lists (CRLs). Root and intermediate keys are protected in hardware security modules (HSMs).
It can be revoked instantly with a reason code. The revocation propagates through OCSP and CRL endpoints so anyone validating the certificate immediately sees it's no longer trusted.
Julica is in active research and development and already underpins signing in GoPaperless. Broader, standalone availability and developer documentation are on the roadmap — reach out to discuss early access.
